STTM Total Iron Panel
Tests Included:
- Super Chemistry (complete metabolic panel with CBC)
- Iron Profile w/TIBC
- Ferritin
This group of tests would typically cost $269 from your local doctor or hospital lab. At $119.99, that’s a savings of $149!
Super Chemistry (Complete Metabolic Blood Testing Panel)
The HealthCheckUSA super chemistry test is a testing panel that combines our popular Chem-26 test with a complete blood count.
A full lipid panel measures the fatty substances in your bloodstream. These substances can lead to heart disease, attack and stroke. HealthCheckUSA is proud to include a cholesterol test as part of the super chemistry, because its results can prevent heart disease. A lipid profile includes several tests, including cholesterol (HDL and LDL) and triglycerides.
Iron Profile with TIBC
An iron profile from HealthCheckUSA is a blood screening for the iron overload disease, Hemochromatosis. This genetic disorder causes your body to absorb and store too much iron. This extra iron builds up and causes organ damage. An iron profile is important because if Hemochromatosis is not treated, these organs can fail. You could even need a transplant.
Ferritin Blood Analysis
Composed of iron and protein, Ferritin is a storehouse for iron in the body. Measurement provides an accurate picture of how much iron you have available in reserve. It is used to evaluate anemia and for diagnosing iron deficiency. Low Ferritin is a sign of iron deficiency. Ferritin is high with inflammation, infection, liver disease, iron overload, certain amends and certain cancers (leukemia and lymphoma). Symptoms of low ferritin include fatigue, depression, weakness, achiness, breathlessness, and/or others. Optimal range is 70 – 90.
